Why are you here?

Acts of Volition is celebrating their 500th post. I like AOV because Steven and friends don’t post the same crap that every other blog links to. Nearly everything they write is interesting, thought-provoking, and has a refreshing point of view.

It got me thinking, why do people read this site? I know there are at least one or two of you. What is it about my Weblog that keeps you coming back? I’d love some feedback about what you like (and hate) about kalsey.com. Let me know.

I’m here for occasional focused writing on topics that interest me (usability, web publishing, etc.). No fluff, no pictures of your cat.

No pictures of a cat, but a couple of times there’s been pictures of my kids.

“Occasional focused writing” — Does that mean that the writing usually isn’t focused?

No, that was poor writing on my part. I should have said that I come here occasionally for your (always) focused writing.

I come here mostly due to Textad. When I do, however, I usually find stuff I wouldn’t have if I had not come. Plus I’ve bookmarked you, which is good for one or two hits a year!

First visit, but I enjoyed what I read. And it was readable, too — not set in 7.5 pt text like so many websites I visit :-)
